Week 3

Math: We are finishing our work with place value, comparing and ordering numbers, and rounding. We will begin work with fractions soon! Here is a link to some fun multiplication games:

Reading: We will continue learning comprehension strategies this week as well as sequencing, graphic organizers, and context clues. Our story for this week is Grandfather's Journey.

Language: We are working on identifying the subject and predicate of sentences. The subject is who or what the sentence is about. The predicate is what they did. You can identify the predicate by first finding the verb in the sentence. We will also be working on writing our own complete sentences.
  
Science: We are beginning Chapter 1 Lesson 2: Environmental Interactions. We will be learning what an ecosystem is, abiotic and biotic factors, competition, and predators and prey.

Social Studies: We are working on map skills, Tennessee geography, and Tennessee symbols.
